Write Anything Wednesday #50

You know the drill, write something. Why? It’s a great day to write and I say why not? Write absolutely anything. Try your hand at flash fiction or write a poem. Make an outline or character sketch. Write a chapter, or as many chapters as you can. Nothing to write about? Try making a list of ideas or free-write. Make Wednesday your weekly no-matter-what writing day. If this isn’t a good day then pick another. The important thing is to simply write.

If you feel stumped grab a timer and do ten minute sprints. The first time you do this might not garner great results but the more you do the more you get used to it and your muse will start to shine.

If you would like a prompt:

  • You asked your Fairy Godmother for a power like King Midas but instead of everything you touch turning to gold it turns to lead.
  • Take your villain on vacation. How did it go?
  • A letter arrives with a post mark date of 1920…

Happy writing!

It’s been a while since I posted the weekly prompts and I apologize. Too many medical things and too much stress interfered with my writing. I’m taking a stand against these distractions today!

  1. Once upon a time the world had to write with chisel and hammer upon stone.
Then the quill and ink emerged on papyrus, working fingers to the bone.
The typewriter was such a time-saving machine.
But knowing how far we’ve come remains to be seen.
    It takes your breath away!
For each new day brings a new way
For writers of thoughts and feelings to display
Their words, art, and creativity, capturing all we have to say.
